Fields missing when setting up Business Rule

Posted on by

I am trying to set up a business rule to automatically hide/unhide and put the user's name in either the Call To or Call From field in the Phone Call entity depending on what direction the call is. For some reason those fields or not showing up in the menu to be able to select.

Any idea why this would be?

Just my luck!  We avoid JavaScript here, trying to keep customizations as simple as possible.

Thank you, Mehdi, for the quick response.

Some field's types are not availble in business rules sush multi-select option sets. In this case, you must use javascript.

I am experiencing the same problem that Morris mentions.  I am trying to use a business rule to lock/unlock the 'Company' field, based on whether the 'Account Number' field is populated.  I DO see Company in an advanced find, but I DO NOT see Company in the dropdown of fields in the Business Rules Properties.  Why not??  (I need Company... not Company Code or Company Dropdown).

    Hi

Both Call To and Call From are Party List type, thats why these fields are not available for Business Rule

    Hi Russ,

i dont know what type of fields you are working with but Whole Number fields that use the formats for TimeZone, Duration, or Language will not appear in the rule editor for the conditions or actions, so they cannot be used with business rules.

    Hope this helps
