Hello guys,

I m getting 401 Authentication Failure when i navigate to document location of a record.

3276.12.PNG

The issue is after configuring the on-premise SharePoint with IFD CRM. After enabling the server based configuration using a user (say CRM Admin) everything is working. (CRM Admin) user is able to access document location and add files. But for other users (say CRM Admin 2) getting 401 Authentication Failure error.

The second user (CRM Admin 2) is having system administrator role in CRM and is part or owner team in SharePoint.

Kindly Please help,

Thanks in advance.

    Hi,

Can you check if the user 2 is able to access the SharePoint location? This looks like the user doesn't have access to SharePoint itself.

    Hope this helps.

    Hi Ravi,

Yes the user 2 is able to access SharePoint and is part of owner team in SharePoint.

    Thanks

    Nitin

    Hi Ravi,

Initailly the CRM Admin (first user) was having this issue so solved it using the same solution mentioned in the above article i.e., by adding the "SharePoint Email Address" field on the main form and populating it with the the primary email address or user.

It worked for one user only, but after that when I m testing with another user then the "Authentication Failure" is shown.

    Thanks

    Nitin

So the same steps is not working for other users? I don't have onpremise environment to try but hope someone else can assist you here-

    Hi Ravi,

Thanks for the support, was able to resolve the issue. The issue was due to incomplete details on Active Directory.

The 2nd user details were not sync with AD details. i.e., worng email adddress

    Thanks

    Nitin
