Inventory on POS

i am wondering if their is a walkaround or maybe an addon for this
Our ecommerce website is linked using Nchanell
Our process is like that
1.we receive new online order , nchannel push it as a work order in RMS
2. We pick up our Work order and choose Pick up Entire work order 
now if we have items thatare back order the POS will give us the Warning 901 Out of stock item 
The problem is how to we know what item is back order on that specefic Work order , isnt it any way to just click on the item and see current inventoy or any macro that be be created 
I am probably doing this wrong , or missing something , thank you for your help

    Move the cursor to a line item's description, quantity, or price then press F2 for Item Information.

    The quickest way to see the inventory for each item is:  Click on the ItemLookupCode entry for that item,  Press F2 to display the item lookup window. This should go to the item entry (you need to have the entries sorted itemlookupcode) which will should you the available qty.  

    You could also modifier the status.htm file and add the item quantity field to display when you select an item.
