MRP Regeneration does not process Sales Forecast

Hi,

MRP Regeneration does not process Sales Forecast.

A BOM for a finished good has been created. Receiving site is checked for MRP.

Receiving site for finished item and component is the same.

A Sales Forcast for the finished item is created and included into MRP selection.

Running MRP Regeneration does not take in consideration the finished item for production (no figures).

The finished item type is 'Made'.

Is there any clue which I missed.

Thanks.

    Hi,

Try this:  Go to Transactions/ Manufacturing/ Sales forecast. Enter the forecast in the window. Then press to GoTo |Forecast Selection. If the forecast is not listed in this window, insert it and then regenerate MRP.

    Thanks,

    Hi,

It is already inserted but MRP Regeneration does not process it.

    Hi,

From Sales Forecasting if I select Sales Forecast Activation, it will activate MPS, then from there I can generate a manufacture order which in turn MRP will consider it for the components and for the finished good which is declared in the Sales Forecasting.

What I'm looking for is to generate the acquired planned manufacturing orders.

    Thanks.

    Hi,

Are you sure you selected the right option?   Go to Transactions/ Manufacturing/ Sales Forecast, click on GO TO |  'Forecast Selection'.

    Thanks

    Hi Cheryl,

    I found the issue.

Even the item is a made item, still we need to flag the order policy to e.g. Fixed Order Quantity in Item Resource Planning with zero values.

This is strange; my understanding for the order policy is for Buy items.

    Anyway; thanks for your participation.
