In my current roject we have a requirement to add an account as a stakeholder on a opportunity in Dynamics CRM Online. Currently the stakekeholder subgrid on the opportunity only allows for us to add contact persons as stakeholders.
Any suggestions on how to solve this?

Perhaps I need to further detail the requirement - what we need is to add accounts to the stakeholder subgrid on the opportunity. Subsequently the account needs to be assigned a connection role such as "contractor" or "main contractor".
Do you know how accounts could be added to this subgrid?

Please try, changing the Stakeholder connection role by adding Account in the Select Record Types.
Please check whether it is being used in other entities (other than opportunity), so that it would not affect other areas.
