Workflow triggering twice

Hi,
Created a workflow On Change of Field "Review Trigger Reason" 

Condition is as:

If "Review Trigger Reason" field is update..It will run the workflow
1. It will check the condition "Review Trigger Reason" is contains data or not..If yes then it will go to next step
2. Then create a Annual Review Record
3.Again it will check the condition and Clear the field "Review Trigger Reason" .

When Field get Clear then it triggers the workflow again and passes all the condition .Then the workflows when runs for 3rd times it will get succeeded with step 1.

Not sure why it is triggering for 2nd time.when checks on System jobs it will show 3 times.

    Hi,

    If you are updating the same record within the workflow, there is a chance to run the workflow multiple times. Please split your workflow with child workflow as well. It will help you to find the root cause of the issue.

    Thanks Pedro, My response is below in bold:

    Why do you have two update for the contact entity? If you have only one, do you get the same behavior?

    ----I have a condition as workflow should run when "Review trigger reason" field is update and after on next step im creating a record and then in next step ,im updating the "Review trigger reason" field with "clear". So it is again starts the workflow and creating the duplicate record which is creating on 2nd step. If i did not using the step 3 i.e clear then it is working fine.

     

    Things that should be considered:

    - Do you have any other field on the "Records field change"?

    - Are you updating the field on both update actions on this workflow?

    - Do you have any other workflow that affects this field?

    - Do you have any plugin that affects this field?

    ----And Answer for below is No.
