This is an old problem, but seems to be resurfacing. I had two cases in the past two days with different systems.
Quick resolution: Un-mark "Connect" option on GP Home Page.
Navigate to GP Home Page >> Customize this page >> Un-mark "Connect" option on Customize Home Page screen.

Thanks for this tip. I was able to upload chart of accounts now. I don't know why Integration Manager was not able to upload 6K rows. I changed everything to old GP format, and IM started working otherwise it was hanging on record no. 4815 and giving me error, which was pointing to check if there is any windows updated applied. Very bad. But thanks for sharing your experience.

There is also another known issue with IM when running in newer GP releases which have the 'ribbon' menu enabled.. Users have reported stalled / hung IM runs when trying to get larger quantity of data into GP. .
Disabling the 'ribbon' (switching back to the old-fashioned menu) solved the problem and speeded up the process too.
