SRS reports on GP form - how to set report parameter

Being able to assign SRS reports on GP forms is a great feature but I can't find any explanation of how to pass a field from the form as a parameter for a custom report. Can anyone explain this or point to documentation that would help.

Are you wanting to pass the parameter from the window you are looking at in GP to the SQL Report item? If that is the case I don't think there is a native way of accomplishing that. I would suspect you need to have some VB code in the window to all you to perform that.

If that is the case you could be a Visual Studio Application that grabs the value from inside GP and then executes a call to ReportBuilder which will run the SSRS report.

Take a look at the following link. Certain parameters are automatically sent from the window to the ssrs report (provided the ssrs report accepts that parameter). For a custom report, naming must be exact or it will not work.
