Hi, I'm currently using the Budget Control feature within the Budgeting module of D365 Finance and Supply Chain Management. I’d like to know if balance sheet accounts can be included in budget control.
I appreciate your input. Thanks!
Hello,
Thank you for your question regarding the use of budget control in the Budgeting module of Dynamics 365 Finance and Supply Chain Management.
By design, the Budget Control functionality is primarily intended for profit and loss (P&L) accounts, as it is used to monitor and control expenditures and revenues against budgeted amounts. Balance sheet accounts (such as assets, liabilities, and equity) are generally excluded from budget control because they do not represent operational spending or income that needs to be restricted or monitored in the same way.
If this addresses your question, please consider marking the response as accepted so it may assist others with similar inquiries.
Best regards.
