how will see data on specific legal entity only

Hi Team,

In the particular table if we set the property /Save data per company/ to NO tten it will share the data across legal entities. For example - if we have 5 legal entities like A.B.C.D.E

So, it will shared to all.

If I like to share the data in specific legal entity only like B & E only NOT for A,C,D

Is there any property in data entity to do the setup?

Hi,

So you mean if you insert a record in company B, you want it automatically to go to company E as well? However, if you insert in company A, then data should stay at A?

I don't think there is a straight forward solution. May i know what is the purpose of this table? Is it a setup or transactional table?

And does it require data to be duplicated directly in both companies? If yes, maybe u can do customization on the insert and update methods of the table, to insert/update data in the other dataArea.

Like others said, no such property exist.

To achieve your requirement, you should make the table company specific. Then use DMF to copy the data from one company to another.

Hi,

There is no standard solution for this, you should do it through customization, but first you should think about the requirements and how to apply it? I think in your case you should set Save data per company to Yes and do what you want by code, for example you should create the record based on the current legal entity and then by code you can inset the same record to other legal entities (that you want). Give us more details and why you want this functionality in order to help you.

Did you find a workaround for your question with help of the replies below?

If not, another approach could be using the table where save data per company property set to No. Then have a Virtual companies setup (custom tables) like there used to be in AX 2012. This table can be setup with records like:

Virt DataAreaId

A A

C C

D D

SHARE B

SHARE E

On your original table, then add a column for the virtual company. On forms, reports and in coding, you can join the tables and set a filter on the DataAreaId field.
