How to add field from different data source in form grid

Hi Team,
 
I have extend the ProdJournalTransBOM form.
 
In ProdTable i have added one Test new field.
 
Test field i have added in ProdJournalTransBOM form grid and set the data source property ProdTable 
 
Production control -> PickingList
 
I can see there is no data in Test field.
 
Please let me know how to achieve this.

    There are several grids in ProdJournalTransBOM form. Which one did you add the field to?
     
    ProdTable data source is joined with ProdJournalBOM, so it should work for ctrlLines grid (which has ProdJournalBOM as the data source), but not the other grids.
     
    Also, do you have data in your new field?

    I have added in gridOverviewDetails.
     
    If i add ctrlLines grid Test field is not display in Production control -> PickingList

    The data source of gridOverviewDetails is ProdJournalTable, which isn't joined with ProdTable data source, therefore it's not gonna work. You'll need to add an extra data source for ProdTable and join it with ProdJournalTable. Or you could use a display methods, but joins are more efficient.
     
    Don't forget to override write() and validateWrite() of the new data source to prevent saving.
