AX For Retail - Setup Query

Hi There,

I have a query with regards to the Store Connect configuration we need to setup on both the HQ's and POS systems.

We are trying to install a test environment to test AX for Retail. We have 2 pc's one is HQ and the other is our POS till. I have installed the store connect on both machines.

My configuration when I created the 2 instances are:

HQ: The HQ Server instance

POS: I have both the HQ Server and POS Instance

Is this setup correct?

Please advise what should the instance be when you configure the 2 pc's?

Thanking you in advance

Regards,

Anisha

    Hi Anisha,

All the configuration of Retail Store Connect must be done at HQ level and you can use the different different Retail Store Connect service on the indiviual profile. That means you can define one service of Retail Store Connect on HQ profile and another service of Retail Store Connect on POS profile.

    Regards

    Rahul

    Hi Rahul,

    Thank you for the response.

Just to confirm, you install the Retail Store Connect on the two machines but you only configure on the HQ side, correct? There are no configuration on the POS side, correct?

You will then create 2 services for Retail Store Connect - where is done on the HQ side?

I am trying to move data to the POS store/terminal but the 2 computers are not talking to each other. The packets get generated on the HQ machine and do not go nowhere.

The message database on the POS side does not receive the packages.

Please i'm getting confused, and the manual is very vague as well.

    Please help me.

    Thanking you :)

    Regards,

    Anisha

    Hi Anisha,

As you said  " Just to confirm, you install the Retail Store Connect on the two machines but you only configure on the HQ side, correct? There are no configuration on the POS side, correct ? You will then create 2 services for Retail Store Connect - where is done on the HQ side ? "

Yes, that's is the way I am using now. It means that we have 2 services for RSC on HQ connect to 2 databases (  1 is on SQL HQ , the other one is on SQL POS store) . After creating 2 profiles RSC on Retail scheduler, it's OK to run test

The problem is data can not sync from HQ to database on POS store after running scheduler jobs

Anyone can help me ? Thanks

                 Regards,
