Hi,

I am currently trying to submit an MTD return. The settlement period for this entity is August-October 2020 but we are submitting now as the entity has ceased trading at the end of September.

However whenever I try to send the report I receive an error ;

Response Code : 403

Response Description : WebServiceError

What does code 403 mean? Is it not possible to submit a return before the end of the settlement period?

It is possible.

Can you try this in another browser or after clearing usage data and browsing history in the browser?

It does not seem to be Dynamics Issue.

Can you let us know what D365FO version you operate?

Also when do you receive the error exactly?

Hi ssullivan20190,

This error 403 occurs due ot firewall issue. Can you try again after disabling your firewall and antivirus softwares.

Hi ,

You need to check the Electronic reporting configurations for MTD for the version you are using and reimport the files.

With effect from 1 September in Sandbox and 1 October 2020 in Production HMRC introduced 2-step authorisation so you may need a hotfix.

Hi,

Thanks for all the replies.

To confirm we are using D365 Finance & Operations version 10.13

So far I have tried;

- submitting through a different browser, but this made no difference

- I don't believe it is a firewall/anti-virus issue as I have submitted three other entities this week which had no issues

- similarly again I don't think it is a 2-step authorisation issue due to the fact that the other 3 entities submitted without any issue

- I will reimport the files now as suggested by Sheela below and see if that makes a difference....

Further to above I have now re-imported all the Electronic Reporting configurations for MTD and unfortunately still get the error.

The error appears at the final stage of 'Submit VAT Return' :(

Thanks Sheela, I have now done this and unfortunately didn't make any difference :(
