Hi All,

this is my first post here.

Today I was testing some mobile/PC features in Dynamics CRM, what I discover was that the button "Prepare Client Custmization" for my organization is missing from Customization section in the top ribbon.

This is a screenshot from my organization where is visible that the option "Prepare Client Customization" button is missing.

As per this MS article technet.microsoft.com/.../dn531078.aspx

"Improve performance with the Prepare Client Customizations button

Once you publish customizations, the first user to start one of the CRM mobile apps or the interactive service hub can experience performance issues, because their sign in prompts CRM to prepare the metadata package for download. That means the first user has to wait for both the metadata package preparation and the download (subsequent users only have to wait for the download).

With CRM 2016 Update 0.1 or later, you can improve performance for that first user by clicking the Prepare Client Customizations button after publishing your customizations. This prompts CRM to prepare the metadata package right then instead of waiting for the first user to start a mobile app or the interactive service hub.

Prepare Client Customizations button"

I have already connect my iPhone and iPad to my organization and I can work from them, however after every customization it takes hell of a time to prepare this package with the latest customization for the next user who will sync with mobile device. So that is the purpose of this button, so I can prepare the package in advance before the sync is happening so it wont take that much time.

Thanks in advance

Regards

    Hello,

In Dynamics 365 Online version 9, the 'Prepare Client Customization' feature has been made obsolete.

The old 'Prepare Client Customization' button was for the interactive service hub, which no longer exists in version 9.

The mobile experience is now completely based on the new Unified Interface experience.

To customize anything for the mobile experience in version 9, you'll have to customize one of the new Unified Interface apps, most of which end in the word 'Hub', like the 'Sales Hub' and the 'Customer Service Hub'. Those apps and all their configurations are served up to mobile clients.

When you customize an App for the Unified Interface, there is a Publish button inside of the App Designer, this will publish all your changes for your app, including mobile.
