    Hi edgeappsba,

    You could use DMF.

    See MS document:

    Hi edgeappsba,

Like mentioned by Will, you can use the Data Migration Framework.  Is it a one time import or do you need to import a file regularly?

You haven't mentioned what type of information is in this file. Note that the data model between Salesforce and Dynamics 365 are different. It might be the case that you need to transform or default additional columns before you can successfully import the details.

Thanks for the response.  The file contains payments which is to be applied to GL strings so there would be data transformation that will happen.  I would like to import the file regularly.  I am new to MS Dynamics and would like to understand how much of an effort this would take.

    Hello edgeappsba,

What kind of payment data are that?

Are these customer or vendor payments or other payment transfers?

What do you plan to do with the data after they are imported into D365FO?

    Best regards,

    Ludwig

    Hi edgeappsba,

Just for further clarity, Are you bringing also Salesforce orders data into D365 or only customers payments? If only customers payments then you can use Data management tool as suggested by Andre/Will/Ludwig and There are 02 entities as follows:

Header: Customer payment journal header" entity

Journal Lines: "Customer payment journal line" entity

You can also create the Customer Journal first from UI to create header information and then load the lines. Please note you have to prepare the template first by using the customer payment line entity mentioned above and make sure all required information is filled up in the file like Customer ID, Invoice ID, Debit/Credit amount, Offset account (Bank/Cash) , Currency, Method of payment, exchange rate(In case of foreign currency payment), Payment reference ID (For example Payment token ID reference in case of Credit card transaction)
