404 Error when accessing CRM without permissions

Hi Everyone !

We are receiving a 404 page not found when a user is accessing an Organization and he/she was not given permissions yet. I think there should have an error page that shows the message about the problem, instead of a 404 page not found error.

I've searched a lot and nothing applies to this case.

In logs of IIS I couldn't find any error message or in event viewer.

I can't find which page is CRM looking for !

Does anybody have the solution to this ??

    Hi

    If there is no CRM user created you will get the 404 error, However if there is a user and no permission you will get a cannot access this site error

    Hi Mark

    Ok, is there a way to enable or set up something that just tells you that cannot enter the site... ??  Do you know if it has to do with CRM version, security, design?? I don't pretty understand why it does this way... not very friendly from UX perspective....

    There is nothing that I have done before, I'm sure you could edit the 404 page in the IIS site but I wouldn't recommend doing day, It's more of a training issue - if they don't have access don't use it!!

    Ok Mark, what I suggest is that maybe is a good idea for the product to show a better message. But if there isn't nothing like that, at least is good to know it !
