CRM 2011 and Outlook 2010 CRM Options not Available

I have downloaded and installed the latest version of CRM 2011 and ran the configuration wizard.  I can see the CRM tab in Outlook and can see CRM on my File menu.  However, when I select File - CRM - Options, I get sent back to my Outlook inbox.  I have uninstalled and reinstalled CRM several times and the same thing happens each time.  Also, when I try to access CRM Help, I get this message:

I'm not sure what else to try.

    Pam,

Where did you download your CRM Client from?

I have never experienced this problem, but it does sound like its a problem that is related to your client machine. Are you using a en-us version of office 2010?

If yes, then it is definetly related to your client machine and not to the software.

If no, then try and download the CRM outlook client in the corresponding language.

Yes, I have the EN-US  version of Office 2010.  What kind of problem related to my client machine?  Would uninstalling Office 2010 and reinstalling make a difference?

    Pam,

What version of Office 2010 do you have?

I've heard of some loss of functionality with non-enterprise/premium versions but never heard of issues like these.

Pam. The Outlook client has been tested over and over again. I have literally 100's of installations and never seen this problem.

I dont know if reinstalling your outlook will do the trick. It might be a problem in your windows or a registry key or what ever. But its worth a shot.

    Pam,

Did you have a time to re-install Office and see if that fixed the issue?
