Multiple Legal Entities - New Implementation

Hi Friends

I have one question, and if any body has any idea please advise.

We are going to work on one large implementation where Company has more than 2000 Legal entities and they are going to be more than 10 000.

So how to cope up this requirement in AX.  I do not feel it is feasible to have such huge number of legal entities and also 4 digit code going to be problem once it is reached 10000 mark

Please advise

    Hi Vaibhav S,

    Companies can be numbered with letters and numbers, such as A999.

    You can thus setup more than 9999 companies.

    What might be interesting for you are the copy legal entities functionalities that are currently still on the roadmap

    roadmap.dynamics.com

    Hi Vaibhau

    Waiting for copy Company functionality I suggest that you use templates and create different data packages for each module and have different data packages for same module when you have different groups of legal enties, ex. A data package with vat configuration for each country you configure.

    I’m working on a project with only 150 legal entities being configured for go live and we use the approach described with success.
