Filtering item categories including sub-categories

Dear all,

We have set up items and item categories.

- CAT 1

-- SUBCAT 1

--- SUBSUBCAT 1

- CAT 2

Now when I try to set filter in the items view by item category the results just include item of this level but not its subsequent levels. In this example filtering by "CAT 1" would only include items that reference "CAT 1" but not "SUBCAT 1" and "SUBSUBCAT 1". Am I doing something wrong? Is that a feature or a bug?

Any help appreciated.

Item Categories is a feature that can be improved (a lot).

Be careful with creating subcategories. You can't have something like the following, just be because the Code field is the only field for the Primary Key:

- Plates

- - Small

- - Medium

- - Large

- Cups

- - Small

- - Medium

- - Large
