Closing an entry with a Remaining Amount of 0.00

Thank you for reading my questions.

I have entries in my Customer Ledger which have a remaining amount of $0.00 but they are still open.

I filtered on this value and I found that the 'amount' is actual -0.002

I would like to close this entry so that it doesn't appear as an open entry in my ledger.

I tried Payment Registration, Apply Entries, Cash Receipting but the problem I kept facing is that only 2 decimal places were allowed or couldn't post a 0.00 entry.

Please help!

Is there a way I can force close an entry? (ie change Open from Yes to No)

Hi, will using Reverse also report an error?

And with a small customization, it can be force closed, but this will destroy data integrity.

    Hope this helps.

    Thanks.

Then you will have to post a transaction that you can apply it against.

But you are unable to post a transaction of 0,002 to apply it against?

There is no way you can force it to be closed with out potentially damage the integrity of the system.

Thanks for your response. Do you mean as a foreign currency? Then, no... there's nothing else involved.

Is this a transaction involving currency? If that is the case then you can have  a remaining amount in LCY even though your remaining amount in currency is zero. So that is the first thing you should check.
