Please help me fix the SharePoint integration within Dynamics

Dear all,

My main issue: my team can't access or upload files to SharePoint in Dynamics. (I, as a system customizer, am able to access SP from D365, my team can only access it directly on SP)

Some of the experts have all failed to provide me with solutions. I have checked all the security permissions on both SP and D365. But my teammates just simply can't access SP from D365:

They also see this error message:

Is it possible because of the following issue:

The missing of the root site on the site collection. It is important to have the site under the root path. It could be an empty site. (someone who experienced the same question told me this. I am not sure what it means exactly)

Our targeted SharePoint site is a "subsite"(not a library) under the main site.

I can access/upload files to SP from D365, but my teammates just simply can't.

    Hi,

    It is caused by that the users do not have the permission to access the SharePoint site.

    You can grant the permission in the right-top corner of the site.

    Dear Nya,

    My team users were already granted permission to access SP. They all can access SP directly but not from D365.

    One thing is that the site I connected to D365 is a subsite instead of the main team site.

    Do you know what are the possible reasons to fix it? Or any experts I could ask?

    Hi,

    Have you checked if the security role of the users have the read privilege to the SharePoint Site entity?

    Hi Nya,

    I checked their site permission many times already. Their permission level is "edit" which they can edit and view the site content.

    Is it the correct way to check their security role?

    Hi,

    No, I mean the security role in Dynamics.

    It can be found in the Power Platform admin center by going to Environments > [select an environment] > Settings > Users + permissions > Users.

    Find the security roles which have been assigned to the user by clicking the "Manage security roles".

    Then go back to Settings > Users + permissions > security roles.

    Find and edit the role in the list.

    Dear Nya,

    I do not have an admin role but I have a system customizer role. Our admin assign the following security role to my users:

    - Basic User

    - Dynamics 365 App for Outlook User

    - Marketing Professional

    - Sales system access

    - Sales Team Member

    - Sales, Enterprise app access

    - Salesperson

    Some of the roles do enable the access to SharePoint site, but my team just can't. I, as a system customizer, can. There must be something off. Hope you can help me out!
