Mailbox test and activation

Posted on by Microsoft Employee

Hello,

Inside a user mailbox window, after approving an email address I click on "Test and activate the Mailbox". After some seconds, the "configuration tests result" tab says "Fail" for all tests, and the mailbox is deactivated.

The problem is that the "Alerts" tab is empty, so I don't know why the tests did not succeed.

Thanks a lot for any feedback.

    Hi,

As Prashant suggested  in online crm mail box approval of primary mail id and testing should be done in o365 global admin id

When using CRM Online, 'Test & Enable mailbox' must be done via O365 Global Admin. Try if it works!

    Hi Agostino,

The user mailbox in question, have you assigned them an out of the box security role or one that you have created yourself? To rule out a potential permission issue, you should try 'Test and Activate' on a mailbox that has System Administrator privilege (or temporarily assign this security role to the affected user) and see if that works successfully or not. If you have already tried this or if this does not work, please report back to let us know.

    Thanks

    Joe

    Hi Joe,

It is CRM online 2016, and I am using server side sync.

    Thank you

    Hi Agostino,

Is it CRM online or on-premise that this problem is happening on? Also, are you using server side sync or email router to link your mailboxes to CRM?

    Regards

    Joe
