Job running issue

Hi,

I am facing below error when I run the job in NAV scheduler:

A call to LSRetail.DD.Control.TransAutomClient.CreateConnection failed with this message: Parameter count mismatch.

I reinstalled the LS data director version LSDataDirector.3.02.16, still same error. But, the job runs perfect in scheduler. Issue occurs only when running the manually.

Little strange,, any body to assist.

    Hi,

Make sure the Account you are using to run the client have sufficient permissions as of service account. Try running NAV as administrator and then share the results. Thanks

    Hi,

Did you try executing NAV Client as 'Run as an Administrator'? Once NAV client executed, try running the jobs and then see if you get same error.

    Regards,

    Manish

    Hi Amol/Tharanga,

This is little interesting. I check this and that and finally I found as below:

If I closed NAV and open it back, then first I try to do 'Test Connection' in distribution location, it works. Now, I gone to the 'jobs' and try to run any job manually, then NAV show above message.

Again, I closed the NAV and opened it back, then tried to run a job first from 'jobs', it is working. And now, I gone to the distribution location >> then 'test connection', now this is not working.

What I do first, it will work(either running the job or testing the connection). To make the other one working, I have re-open the NAV.

    Any fix for this?

    Abdul.

    RE: Job running issue

It might be related to permission or computer. Because if the job runs smoothly when it runs automatically by the service account, and it only fails with a user run the same job on a his account.

Check if the job can run manually within the server.
