Management Reporter Configuration Error

I am trying to install Management Reporter - but cannot seem to get past error.  After the installation of main application and then the service pack CU 16 - I attempt to run the configuration. After making my selection  in the configuration page (app, process and datamart selected)  upon clicking  next generates the following error

I am unable to find anything that will point to a solution for this error.

The deployment log has the following message

"6/26/2021 2:37:43 PM - One or more errors occurred"

The event Viewer has the following message

    Hi

    Try to reinstall it without the service pack CU16, be sure you are able to run the Configuration Console

    before start the configuration. if the console working, try to install the service pack CU16

    Hi,

    On what Windows version are you trying to install MR 2012 ? Make sure you have at least the .NET 4.8 installed and that you have full admin right when performing the setup.

    CU16 (build 2.12.16009.1) has been verified to work on Windows 2012, 2016 & 2019.

    I uninstalled MR and reinstalled the original MR without any service pack. Unfortunately, the same error upon clicking on the Next button of the Configuration page.

    Try running the configuration without a datamart selected (Just the two services).  When that finishes, then run the configuration for the datamart.  I've found that to work for me.

    I agree, I never install the MR with all components first in the console. I always install the main services first, and once those are running fine under a domain account, I install the connector (Legacy or DM).

    The main question about your connector choice should be:

    1. how many companies ?

    2. how large is your GL history (how many years) ?

    3. the DM is very data intensive (24/7) on GL data and refreshes all the time.. with many historical years, it takes a toll on the system and creates large DM databases.

    4. for most customers, the LEGACY connector does the job, and there is refresh of DM to perform every time you do some changes in the COA structure.
