Is it possible to have two Users be assigned Owner of an Opportunity entity?

I have some sales reps that work together on finding Opportunities and writing Quotes for their projects, and would like to add them both as the Owner for a given Opportunity (and Quote). Is this possible, so that they can both see and update the Opportunity dynamically and both get credit when the Opportunity is marked as "Won"?

Thank you!

    the easiest way is to create a custom lookup pointing to User entity called (for example) "Owner 2" and put the second salesman there.

    Users can access the opportunities by their security roles (and records can be eventually shared in order to access) but the lookup will save the fact that the salesman worked for that opportunity as "co-owner"

    Thank you! That worked. Now I just have to change the filter criteria on any Views that are My Opportunities so that

    Owner = Current User

    OR

    Co-Owner = Current User.

    You can create a team and include all user who are working for same types of opportunity and assign opportunity to team.

    This is a proper answer. Team ownership was added in 2011 for scenario like this.

    No, team is not the answer here.

    Because team can change at every moment like adding or removing members.

    If you want to keep an history of who worked on an opportunity (and give credit to them as the OP asked) you need to keep stored that value, thus the suggestion for creating a dedicated field for that.
