Valid Offset Account types in General Journal

Hi.

I can't remember and I don't have access to my AX install currently. Can someone remind me, when I create a general journal with vendor account type, what are the valid offset account types available?

    Not sure if I understand this question with the valid types correctly. The ones available are

    - ledger

    - customer

    - vendor

    - Project

    - fixed asset

    - bank

    Hello again Ludwig my friend.

    If for example I create a general journal and choose a vendor as the account type and choose one of my customers, would I not get a posting error if I chose "Project" as the offset account type? I guess I am wondering if there are any account type/offset account type combinations that could give a posting error hence the reason why I asked if there are valid offset account types for vendors.

    Hello Steve Whyte,

    In general you can use any of the offset account types as long as the other modules (AP, Project, etc.) are set up.

    Even a posting DR: vendor ABC, CR: vendor DEF is possible.

    Hello,

    Not sure if I can post on old posts!! but I have a similar issue where my journal type (finance and operations) is 'Customer payment' and when I try using 'project' ledger type I get the following error 'Account type Project is not valid for this journal type'.

    my journal is Project (to P/L accounts) and the other side is a bank account.

    Am I missing something?
