Menus items keep moving to the right

Our menu items keep moving to the right until they fall off the screen.
We have to continuously unlock Toolbars and drag everything back to the left.
This can be frustrating as you drag to the left they can pop to the row above or below.
This is an annoying issue.  Has it been reported before, is there a fix?

We are using version 18.5.1596 (2022) but this issue has been happening for a few versions.

Do you have the line ScriptDebugger=TRUE in the Dex.ini file? With the Script Debugger enabled, a debug menu will be added to the toolbar which will force the other toolbars to shift.

Enabling the Script Debugger at runtime is not recommended unless specifically troubleshooting an issue.

In fact, GP Power Tools can perform the logging functionality without needing to enable the debugger or change Dex.ini settings.

This is not the only reason, but one that is a known issue.

    Kind regards

Can you please check if the menu entries for the third-party product exist in the system.
If the issue persists, you can raise a ticket with Mcirosoft.

If you are on a shared computer - for example a terminal server - you could be running into issues with different users having different monitor/display settings.  David Musgrave MVP ... (dynamics.com)'s tool mentioned previously can help with this.

To "fix" the issue (but it may reappear), use the "L" Layout button at the top right of the main GP window.

Navigate to Toolbars > Lock Toolbars.  There should be no checkmark next to the menu choice.  (When the selection is unmarked, you can reposition the toolbars.)

Your toolbars will now have little connectors that you can use your mouse to reposition.
(The first arrow shows what the mouse pointer looks like where you can move a toolbar.  The second arrow shows what the connectors look like without the mouse pointer bieng on them.)

Once you have the toolbars repositioned, navigate back to Layout > Toolbars > Lock Toolbars (so that there is now a checkmark again).
