Quantity Sold Reports.

Posted on by 495

When viewing an Item Properties tab, I click on the movement button and can see how many of that Item that I have sold in a certain time period.  I can adjust the time period that I want to view.

When I run a report from the Reports tab at the top of the screen, and pick Reports/Sales/Top Performers/Top Items, and pick the same date range as the above report, I end up with different numbers of sales.  It appears that the quantity sold is reported as the total amount sold from all journal entries, and not from the date range that is picked.

I am interested in finding the amount sold of several items during a certain date range.  I need a report that shows the best sellers from a certain date range, and not for all dates.  How do I do that?

Thanks for your help.

    RE: Quantity Sold Reports.

Do you base top performers on quantity, sales $, or profit?

If quantity or sales.  You could use the Item - Detailed Sales.  Then just click and drag the quantity or total sales column to be the first column.

If it is Profit then you would have to show the Profit column in the report and then drag that column to be first.

By dragging the column to be first, the report will resort for that column.
