We would like to offer items that have the same item number but different processing. Our items have all been released as “products” and not as product masters, which is why we cannot work with product variants. Is there still a solution that allows us to use variants without having to change all items?

We haven't been using d365 for very long, sorry !

Product variants

Hi,

There is no support to convert existing distinct items into a master with variants. In case you want to start using the variants, you will need to create new item masters and then create the variants. After that, you can transfer on-hand quantity from the old items to the new ones.
