Hi,
Did anyone experience this issue and have a solution
Customers accounting currency is NOK - and the vendor is sending an invoice in EUR. This invoice is then settled form the USD bank account. The (NO) bank return file is giving you the following information - (just as an example Inv amount settled EUR 99,44 - deducted from bank account USD 118,83 and the cross exchange rate is 1,195 USD per EUR).
By standard D365 / AX functionality I can settle the EUR invoice amount - transfer the EUR amount to the payment journal line - change payment journal line currency to USD (since this is the currency / amount deducted from the USD bank account) But now I'm stucked with the fact that my accounting currency is NOK and therefore changing the payment line currency to USD - gives me the cross exchange rate between NOK - USD.
From the bank return file I only have the cross exchange rate between USD / EUR (1,195 USD/ EUR) - and therefore I do not have directly the recalculated/corresponding cross exchange rate btw NOK / USD. This seems to be like a tri-angulation issue - and the payment journal line (D365) also have a secondary exchange rate field - but this is though disabled.
The best solution to hand over to the customer would be to use the return file information directly and key these informations into the payment journal line and with this achieve that the invoice is settled in EUR and paid in USD out of the USD bank account - but this seems not to be possible. I hope that you can help me out here - thank you in advance. BR Jakob
