Override Dimension: "Same Code" and "Code Mandatory"

Posted on by 3,482

Hi:

If a Dimension Code Value setting is either "Same Code" or "Code Mandatory", can you override it and enter your own Dimension Value?

If say a G/L Account does not have a Dimension Code tied to it, can you still enter a Dimension Value in its transaction?

Thanks!

John

Hi, one more point, if you set "Code Mandatory" and the value is empty, then you can set any value, as long as the Dimension is set.

    For example,

    Error message:

    Hope this helps as well.

    Thanks.
