Personnel numbers showing instead of names in notifications and portal

Hi

I have a strange issue that has started occurring recently. Notification emails and the Enterprise Portal, show personnel numbers instead of names. The first time this happened, it resolved itself after a day. It has just started occurring again. 

Does anyone have any experience or educated guesses as to what could cause this behavior?

Version:

AX 2012 R3 CU10 On-Premises

    Hello HarryR,

    I have seen this in Production environments with Multiple AOS's in a load balance. It seems that the AOS's get out of Sync, it does usually solve it self if you wait long enough. In order to speed up the process I usually will run a Full CIL and restart all the service in the appropriate order. This rebuilds the XPPIL folder on the AOS servers and resyncs everything.

    Thanks BorisD. We only have one AOS environment. I was hoping there would be an identifiable cause and solution to address it permanently as it's causing quite a lot of annoyance. I will do a full CIL and restart to see if that solves it for now.
