I feel that this has likely been addressed somewhere, but it turns out that "help button not working" is a difficult thing to search for. :-) Anyway, if I click the ?, I get "Help on the requested page could not be found...". If I click on the ? within that window and go to one of the topics on the list, I get "You're seeing the CRM Basics guide or the CRM for Outlook Basics guide because you're not connected to the Internet right now." I am definitely connected to the Internet right now.
I'm also getting a couple of errors in the event viewer related to this. I'm regularly getting an error regarding CRMMonitoringTest, like in this post - https://community.dynamics.com/crm/f/117/p/153489/411385#411385 . Also, when I tried to search for a help topic, it gave me an error, and if I check that error further in even viewer it's a 3005 - an unhandled exception has occurred (Object reference not set to an instance of an object.), in the Help application.
We have not enabled custom help at all. I actually went back to a completely clean install snapshot and I have the same errors...

I have the same question (0)More info: I tried browing the Help directly directly from IIS. I get a 404, and some more detailed info. The thing that catches my eye is that it's saying the physical path is C:\Program Files\Microsoft Dynamics CRM\CRMWeb\1033\OP\content\ug_wel_ProductOverview.htm . And sure enough, that doesn't exist. There's a missing "\Help" in that path between CRMWeb and 1033. "Help" is the name of the App in IIS, and the physical path in the Properties is showing as "C:\Program Files\Microsoft Dynamics CRM\CRMWeb\Help" (which is correct). 1033 is then showing underneath it in IIS, so it seems like everything should be fine. But somehow that "\Help" is getting lost somewhere.
I'm very stumped! Not an IIS expert, so if anyone's got any suggestions I'd be super appreciative.
