In the FA card there is no info on the life of the asset as it is a property of particular depreciation book, and there can be many different depreciation books valid for the same FA (e.g., bookkeeping depreciation, taxable depreciation, management reporting depreciation).
Therefore, you need to seek either directly in the table 5612 "FA Depreciation Book", filtering it by certain book - it will give you the beginning/ending dates of lifecycle. In Excel it is easy to get remaining balance life if needed. Or, use some reports where you can select particular depreciation book, e.g. FA List report, available in /Departments/Financial Management/Fixed Assets
