Hi,
I have a D365 fno cloud environment .
On click of a button I need to show in a dialog list of printers available .
I am not sure if this is possible as far as I remember there is some setting that needs to be done .
It should show onenote, microsoft xps, printers too.
There are some links on Document routing on community but not that clear.
Can anyone share inputs on this please.
Thanks,
VM
In don't have on-premises experience, so, my comments are cloud based.
All you questions are answered by docs.microsoft.com/.../install-document-routing-agent
You can install service in print server of your company without local installations.
Does the Document Routing Agent have to be installed on each computer where a user connects by using a browser?
No. Client installations of the Document Routing Agent can be shared by individuals who access the provisioned environment. We recommend that you install agents on one or more Print Servers or other domain-hosted clients that have access to network printers.
Hi Nuno,
Thanks for the reply.
Can you please answer the below questions.
Is this for on -premise or both (cloud and on premise)
Does document routing needs to be installed on each computer who wants to print to the network printers or only for the one who sets it up.
If it is installed and I configured the network printers of company then can anyone can just print it from anywhere to the same printer without doing any setups even from his home ?
Thanks,
VM
You can enable network printer by docs.microsoft.com/.../install-document-routing-agent
If you print locally, you should get local printers, by select destination in print from a report.
