I have just read the following announcement on PPAC;
"Starting onOctober 6, 2025, we will begin updating the SQL timeout value configuration for the Finance and operations platform. Previously, the SQL timeout values were set in the range of 30 minutes to 3 hours for various roles and sources. The upcoming update adjusts this range to 5 minutes to 10 minutes to provide a more efficient and responsive system."
How would this impact the end users logged onto the D365 F&O application?

It will not have impact on the users running the system. They can continue to work. In case of time-outs this will be recognized sooner than before. When there are insane long SQL queries, a limit might be hit where a process can end in an error. That can be then solved by reviewing the logic and see how to optimize them to not have too long operations for SQL.
