Hello All,

I am working on indian localization, i have added a new component to GST tax type similar to Custom Duty. I have even created the posting set up for the use case similar to custom duty. But i cannot get the value of that component to add to the cost of the item like it is added for Custom Duty.

Can anyone suggest a solution for it? Will i be able to manage it using Use case or do i need to customize it?

Custom Duty is part of the purchase line, and that is how it is added to the Unit Cost during posting. If you are adding a new tax type, then you need to customize it to load that value to the unit cost. It requires customization of code.

Regarding localized functions, it is recommended to post them in the BC Yammer Group. Microsoft technicians should be able to give you better suggestions.

    Hello,

I am not an expert in Indian localization, but what you described seems to be something like a non-deductible VAT setup.
You can enable the option Use For Item Cost. Create a relevant VAT posting setup and see if it would work.

You can read more about non-deductable VAT on this link

    Greetings
