Correct.  In order to upgrade to GP2013 you will need to be on GP2010 SP5 first, then you can complete the upgrade.

    Hope this helps.

    Jeff,

There is a service pack 5 for GP 2010? The latest I see is SP 4. There is a year end update for 2014, but that's not listed as a new SP number, or as required for upgrading to GP 2013. In fact, on the Upgrade Paths list (mbs.microsoft.com/.../HOT_TOPIC_MDGP2013Upgrade) it looks like you should be able to go to any build of GP 2013 from build 1860 of GP 2010. Is this not right?

    Jonathan,

Looks like you're upgrading from the latest build of GP 2010 (2351), which is actually SP 4 plus the year end update and just came out in November. I don't see it listed on the upgrade paths list for GP 2013 (mbs.microsoft.com/.../HOT_TOPIC_MDGP2013Upgrade) yet. I wonder if it's not supported for upgrading yet, and/or requires the very latest build of GP 2013 (12.00.1801, also with the 2014 year end update)?

Victoria sounds on to something. That is a pretty recent update to GP 2010 so it's possible the upgrade path list hasn't  been updated yet.

I would try downloading the GP 2013 R2 install and installing the latest GP 2013 update then running the upgrade with that.

Thanks Victoria, I should have verified my reply as I was typing one thing and reading another.  You are correct, My apologies, Jonathan, if my reply was misleading.

Thanks again Victoria, as always you have saved the day.

RE: GP 2013 Upgrade to GP 2010

Victoria / Jonathan, I have been doing a number of GP2010 (2351) updates in the past couple of weeks and I can confirm from my experience that you have to have the 1801 SP installed on GP2013 prior to starting the update of the databases.

    Hope this helps.
