AD (entra) sync does not update the emailaddress of the dynamics system user

Hi everyone,
 
we are facing the issue that when the emailaddress of a AD (entra) user is changed, this change isnt synced to dynamics 365 CE,
all other AD (entra) attributes update without issues.
The AD (entra) connector doesnt log any errors, it seems like it is just ignoring the emailaddress for updates.
 
Is anyone else facing this issue too or has maybe already found a solution for it?

    Dynamics 365 CE does not automatically update the email address when it changes in Entra ID because the sync relies on ImmutableID and UPN, not the mail attribute. The default connector ignores email updates unless explicitly mapped. Attributes like display name, job title, department are included in the default mapping rules between Entra ID and Dynamics 365 CE, so they sync automatically.  Solution can be like below :
    Option 1: Manually update the email in Dynamics 365 CE.
    Option 2: Create a custom sync rule or Power Automate flow to map mail → internalemailaddress.
    Option 3: Use PowerShell to force a user sync
    Add-AdminPowerAppsSyncUser -EnvironmentName <EnvironmentID> -PrincipalObjectId <UserObjectID>
