Reservation of items: ability to choose which bin to reserve?

Hello, 

We are experimenting with the reserve function in business central to learn more and determine if it's suitable for our needs. It seems that when reserving against existing inventory, the system does not give the option to choose which bins to reserve from. This presented a problem in one of our trials, where the system reserved the whole picking bin and some more in storage bins, hence making it difficult for us to start a picking process from said bin. Is there a way to customize which bins to reserve from or another solution, I cannot seem to find it.

    The picking order will in most cases follow the fifo method unless you use some kind of item tracking.

    If you do a manual reservation you can probably chose what bin you want to reserve against.

    We don't use item tracking. I use manual reservation for the ability to choose between reserving from stock or incoming purchase order but when reserving from stock ( articletransaction as the system calls it), I cannot find options to choose which bin.
