We need to setup local taxes for employees, so that they are sequenced to be deducted during the payroll process BEFORE other deductions, such as health, dental, FSA, 401(k) etc. For one of the states we operate in, there is no tax sheltering on local taxes; the percent withheld is based on gross wages. If an employee has a small check, we want the system to take out all taxes before applying any benefit deductions.
Is there a place to sequence taxes - and if not, what is GP's out-of-box logic for tax sequencing?
