Creating multiple candidate records for a specific job in a single instance -- is it possible?

You can think of our company as a temp agency. Within CRM we have a company record, a contact record, a temp record, a job record, and a candidate record. Each company has a contact, each contact has a job. Each temp that we could place has a temp record, and when we add a temp as a "candidate" for a job we create a candidate record. The candidate record is the linkage between then temp and the job.

Currently, we can only add one temp to a job record at a time. Sometimes, we have candidate lists (i.e. the list of possible temps to fill a role) that are in excess of 40 or even 50 candidates. Adding that many records one at a time is seriously detrimental to our business. Has anyone encountered this type of situation before, and is there a readily available solution?

Sure! I'm going to write out a long example, so bear with me. In CRM we have temp (as in temporary employee) records with unique IDs of 1 - 100.

I add a new job, and that job record ID is #1.

We created a grid on the job overview screen called "Candidate List". This grid displays the name and contact information of the temps who have been added to the Job #1 candidate list. So, for example, if I add temps #1, #2, and #3 to the job #1 candidate list, then their contact information populates that grid. (We actually capture more nuanced info in this grid, but this is just an example).

When we add temp #1 to the job #1 candidate list, CRM automatically creates a candidate record that relates the temp to the job. The challenge is that I can only add one temp record to the job record at a time. What I would like to be able to do is select temps # 1, #2, #3, #4,...,#10 and add them to the job #1 candidate list all at once, and simultaneously generate the candidate records # 1, #2, #3, #4,...,#10.

    Does that make sense?

    Hi OldRed,

Can you please more elaborate it 'Each temp that we could place has a temp record'?

    Thanks and Regards,
