Is there a way to add the ability to add leads to CRM from a dashboard? We need this option to streamline one of our internal processes.

Yes, just make one of the panes of the Dashboard a Leads subgrid, then you can add Leads from it. Alternately, make sure the Global Quick Create in the top CRM navigation has Leads, then you can make them from anywhere, Dashboard or no.
How would I add a subgrid? My only options are Insert Chart, List, IFrame, or Web Resource. Also the Global Quick Create is not an option because we use the CRM Outlook Client and not the web.
List = Subgrid.
Also, in CRM for Outlook, the CRM tab lets you create Leads from anywhere in Outlook, just like the Global Quick Create.
I see no option to add a lead through a list added to a dashboard.
I don't think there is a way to add a new record using dashboard by add a list component. Only way i can think of achieving this is by adding custom button to the dashboard or using global quick create button. Below post shows how to add custom button to dashboard
