hi friends
i install GP .10 on my system and can able to login on my local machine also but wen i try to login remotely in to the server i can c the List of companies wen i select the compnay it give an error updated database through GP Utility how can i perfomr this .i am not able to login to server .

It sounds like the server db's have not been updated. You need to perform a client install of V10 on the server and then run Utils to ensure the db's are at the correct version.
As was stated in Sri's post, you need to be at the same version on all machines. Start with the server, get that to a known level, and then install workstations to the same level.
You also need to ensure the ODBC is named the same on all machines (server and workstations).
The version of GP & service pack must me same in client & server. If not you will get this kind of error.
