I am working with a client at the moment that prefers using register customer payment via the customer card as its nice and simple.
However, they also have a global dimension that is mandatory before posting and is variable so quite often needs to be input manually, this is not available on the worksheet.
This has now created a challenge, they want to have the simple version of registering payments from the customer but also be able to select the dimension prior to posting. Looking for suggestions (although I get the feeling the answer is going to be to use the journals instead )
out of box, user doesn't have the ability to choose dimensions on payment registration page. But you could set up default dimensions on the customer cards and the posted journals will be posted with the default dimensions.
If you want to select outside the default ones on customer card, talk to a dev to build an extension.
