Sales Invoicing not showing up in GL

Hello,

I am now realizing that June invoicing is not showing up in the GL. I posted it late last month; everything is showing up in AR Aging, but when I look at our GL A/R account, it's like nothing happened. Our June period for 'Sales' is open. Any idea what's wrong?

    Also, I tried posting July invoicing today, and it posting went through, but it says "cannot post to a closed period" even though I have July Sales period open. Do I need to open Financial? How do I refresh?

    Should 'Financial' be open for the month being invoiced as well? This may be the problem.

    Hello,

    First you need to check your Customer Account Settings to avoid this kind of issue in future.  Now you can do adjustment Journal Entry for those GL Accounts in General Journal and move forward. Yes to post GL you need to open Finance Module.

    Thank you. I think the issue was that I had the Financial period closed; I only had Sales open.


    Where do I go to find Customer Account Settings?

    Goto-->Cards-->Sales-->Customers.  Account button is there to assign all require GL Accounts. Do same thing for your Inentory too.

    Thank you. I think the issue was just not having 'Financial' open for the next period, so it posted to the sub-ledger, but not GL. All fixed now. Have a great day.
