Changes seen in account format

Posted on by Microsoft Employee

Recently we noticed in the Account format setup screen the main segment Id being changed. Earlier we had a segment name as 'Natural Account' and we had all along using GP with this setup. Yesterday we found that the segment got changed to 'Company', a different segment. Digging back we discovered that the change had occurred in SY00300 record on 4/3/17 (April 3rd). Is there any process or job in GP that either automatically or by initiation would have updated this table? Something like Check link or any other maintenance validation or maintenance job.  Thank you

    Hi,

I have to agree with both of your responses. The only thing I know of that will 'systematically' change the account format is if someone runs system reconcile on it. Even then, it would make segment 1 the main segment and it would change the name to: Segment 1

    Segment 1

    Et cetera.

    Kind regards,

    Leslie

I'm not aware of anything other than human action which would change this value.

This setting can only be changed when there are no other users than the one making the change logged into the company.

Not that I know of. Most likely suspect is a human.
