Hi

I've installed a Customer Self Service Portal to my D365 Demo instance and kept the portal Audience as "Customer". Now I want the CRM Customer / Contact to login to the Customer Portal to create a Case.

I've been trying to Register an Existing CRM Customer / Contact to my Customer Self Service Portal but haven't find any luck as such.

Can anyone please suggest how do I Login with the CRM customer / contact into Customer Portal.

Thanks!

    Hi,

If you want existing Contact to login on portal. You need to do something.

Your Existing Contact must have Security Stemp, Username and Login Enabled.

Im sharing a screen of it. There is a action called Set Security Stemp just use it and set Security stemp on Existing contact and set login enabled.

Then you can login to Portal with existing contact.

    Hi,

    the routine is as following:

    1. Create a new CRM contact or open an exsiting contact in CRM.
    2. Open the standard contact Form "Portal Contact".
    3. Fill in with a username in field "Username".
    4. Set flag "Login enabled" to "Yes".
    5. Create a password by using the on-demand CRM dialog "Change Password".
    6. Associate a Web Role (e.g. "Administrators" or "Authenticated Users") to that CRM contact.
    7. Go to Portal and try to login with these credentials now.

Alternatively, you could use the invitation routine.

    Hey Omhden,

'Portal invitation' is the best way in order to invite existing CRM contacts/customers to access the Portal.

You need to follow the instruction given in below article in order to send Portal Invitation email to existing CRM contacts.

As soon as user will get the Portal Initiation Email, he/she can register on portal themselves and will automatically get linked to existing contacts/customers record in CRM.

Mark it verified. If you are able to solve your problem.

    Cheers
