AX 2012 EP Requires Repeated Entry of Username and Password

Thanks in Advance.

There are a lot of potential details, so here goes.  I installed EP on a MS Server Windows 2008 R2 Standard with IIS and SharePoint Foundation.  This is in an early development environment with a separate DB server, and two AOS servers, all in the same domain.  The SharePoint installation was a full install (server farm, not stand alone; it asked twice) and pointed to the other DB server.  I created domain accounts to run services and following the recommended practice for privileges as far as I could tell.

EP runs but each time I go to the home page of the AX client or browse to the EP web page I have to provide my username and password.  How do I stop this?

One point in the install that I may have made an error is when I chose Kerberos instead of NTLM, and then got this message: "You have chosen to continue using Kerberos with Integrated Windows authentication.  Manual configuration steps by a domain administrator will be required to create a Service Principal Name (SPN) in the Active Directory (AD).  Do you want to use Kerberos authentication?".  I chose not to research SPNs and picked NTLM instead.

In case that I have gone too far and have to reinstall EP, how difficult and time-consuming is the uninstall and cleanup of the databases?

Kind Regards,

Mark Simmerman

    Hello Mark,

The problem is your IIS. You have to go to SharePoint site > Autentication > Windows autentication > Advance config (sorry, I don't know if this is the correct name becouse I have it in Spanish), and then you have to enable  the check.

I hope this information can be useful for you

If that doesn't work going to IE explorer  > internet options> security >intranet (or your settings) , select custom level scroll to the bottom > user  authentication  and select autologin depending upon your setup
