Using GP10. The account expenses are not posting to the ledger when setting up new creditors

Sorry, that last post got away before it was completed.

Hi Leanne,

You left a lot of room for interpretation with your question. I'll try to go down a shopping list, but we may need more information.

Check Posting Setup to make sure the "Post to General Ledger' checkbox is checked. This is what causes the system to generate the GL entry.

Again in Posting Setup, look at the status of the 'Post through general ledger files' checkbox.

Still in Posting Setup, what is the status of the 'Allow Transaction Posting' checkbox?

In General Ledger Setup, is the checkbox next to 'Deletion of Saved Transactions' in the Allow section marked?

Depending on your answers, the mystery may be solved!
